Project Description:

The project included the construction of a £36 million state of the art roastery facility for Costa coffee. The 85,000 ft2 facility is the largest of its kind in Europe. A separate 110,000 ft2 warehouse was developed directly adjacent complete with car park and lorry docking facilities.

Richmond Civil Engineering Ltd was contracted to install the foundations, ducting, drainage and external works.

• 1250m of drainage with pipe diameter up to 600mm

• 55 no. manholes – with depth of up to 5.5 metres deep

 

Ducting​

• 1350m of ducting

• 21 no duct pits

Rainwater Harvesting Tanks​

• 3 no. 6.0 x 2.0 m RWHT installed at a depth of 4.5m deep

​

Diesel Interceptors​

• 3 no. 3.0 x 1.8 m diesel interceptors installed at a depth of 3.5m deep

Attenuation Tanks

• 1 no. 1209 m3 attenuation tank

• 1 no. 991 m3 attenuation tank

• 1 no. 927 m3 attenuation tank

New Substation

• Including excavation, shutter & pour of concrete and backfill complete

Concrete Bases for Silos

• 2 no. bases complete with 55 m3 of reinforced concrete
