Project Description:

Retirement development consisting of 49 one and two-bedroom apartments that is located at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, in the heart of Aylesbury.

 

Main Scope of Work

Enabling Works
  • Set up site offices and site compound

Excavation and Filling
  • Richmond engineer set out line and level for the foundations

  • Excavated and carted approximately 80 loads of muck off site for the foundations

  • Installed Radon barrier

In-situ concrete works
  • Fixed 28 tonne of steel reinforcement to the foundations

  • Installed 60 loads of concrete to the foundations

 

Block and beam flooring
  • Install 110m2 of beam and block flooring

 

Drainage & Services
  • Lay 950m of drainage with pipe diameter up to 375mm to a depth not exceeding

  •  3 metres.

  • Install 45 manholes and inspection chambers with max depth = 3 metres

  • Lay over 1000 metres of ducting

S278 Works
  • Liaised with council and organise road works for drainage connections to drainage beneath public highway.

  • Set up traffic management system

External Works
  • Laid 450m2 of tarmac base and wearing course to car park

  • Laid 220m2 of concrete block paviors to parking bays

  • Laid 120m2 of paving slab to patios and footpaths

  • Laid 520m2 of topsoil to landscaped areas​
